Farewell My Friends, We Will Miss You Much
by Liza Klosterman

To all the furry friends we lost this year
We did our best to keep you here.
And when your time to leave came near
We must have shed a million tears.

At times we wondered what we should do
Was today the day to say goodbye to you?
But we know our efforts were not in vain
For now you're free from all the pain.

Free like a puppy to play and run
Free to bask in the afternoon sun.
Free to enjoy all the sights and sounds
Free from the illness that kept you down.

We'll miss your love, which you so freely gave
We'll miss your antics, even when you misbehaved.
We'll miss you being by our side
We'll miss you terribly...that we cannot hide.

Play well my friends, and never forget
Our love will never end for our beloved pets.
Though no longer here for us to see
There's a place in our hearts you'll always be.
