Dear Leslie: Please remove my name from the list. I initially thought I
could help some Cushings dogs that are still alive, but the folks on this
list know as much or more than I. It is still very painful to relive
Abby's valiant struggle, which I do every time I read about the problems
caused by this disease. My very best to all on the list and their dear
furry ones. I pray for a cure to come swiftly.

Hi,
My name is Betty. My cushinoid is a 10 yr old Boston Terrier - Cissy.
She was diagnosed in September and put on Anipryl - 15 mg. (Her weight
is 20 lbs). She is also hypothyroid and takes .4mg thyrotabs daily.

I noticed her hair coming back within a couple of weeks. After a month
her water consumption returned to normal. She still has a pot belly and
has always been a little pig so appetite is no indicator.

Her ACTH test was repeated in December and is normal. Our vet suggested
increasing her dosage to 30 mg for a two month trial - just to see if
symptoms improve even more. If not, we'll go back to 15mg.
