Mollie Bear
born 1/90
Diagnosed 3/97
Keeshond mix

Here's Mollie Bear doing one of her favorite activities: sitting in the snow. Her others are eating, napping, and barking.

She, too, had a "bald" phase she went through at the time of her diagnosis but look at that coat now--too much!

Mollie has a very interesting personality; similar to a cat sometimes: loudly demanding or indifferent to everyone and usually not wanting much affection (which really bothers her mom). She's generally a very happy dog who shows it by wagging her entire body (although she looks a bit irritated in her picture). She's a master at finding hidden treats and stealing them. Ziplock bags are not problem for this nose!

She eats cradling her dog dish, smacking her mouth and looking around (even before the Cushing's). She enjoys watching the birds at the feeder in the backyard and has a strange relationship with a squirrel who loves to tease her. "Rocky" has even rubbed noses with Mollie. It's a good thing she's a little slow these days.

Her mom may get discouraged with her Cushing's and diabetes, but Mollie has been a trooper through all the testing, pokes, medications, and her mom's tears. She still brings a smile and laugh at the vet's office (and everywhere else) and she's still the best thing that ever happened to her mommy.
