Our dog, Melissa, was diagnosed with Cushing's in July, 1997. In our search for more information about the disease and how to care for a Cushinoid dog, I uncovered a number of informative websites as well as messages posted to the rec.pets.dogs.health and alt.med.veterinary UseNet newsgroups (dating back to 1995) from more than 90 owners of Cushinoid Pets!
I felt certain that these other owners must have many of the same questions we had and were facing the same struggles we were in caring for our dog. It seemed imperative that we tap this wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion. To facilitate the sharing of knowledge and exchange of Cushing's-related information, this nascent web page and an electronic forum have been developed.
All owners and former owners of a Cushinoid pet, veterinary students and professionals, and individuals interested in veterinary Cushing's Syndrome/Disease are cordially invited to join this electronic forum which now has more than 120 members!
