A site dedicated to Scruffy, an adorable mutt, who lost his battle
with Cushing's and Hepatitis. A couple of doggie diaries and information
on alternative/herbal treatments are included.
Information on cortisol levels can be found by looking at "Site
Contents" (left side of the page), the go down and click on "Nornal
Values", which will bring up the info. Also, sometimes useful
under the listing of "Site Contents", just under "Normal
Values is "Conversion Factors" as some test results use
a different scale of measurement.
This is my all time favorite Cushing's Web Site. Not only does it
have tons of information, but also Dr. Richards, the site's veterinary
expert, is the one who suggested our dog, Melissa, might be Cushinoid.
I credit him with saving her life. Thanks Dr. Mike!
"Med Help International, a non-profit organization, is dedicated
to helping all who are in need, find qualified medical information
and support for their medical conditions and questions, regardless
of their economic status or geographic location." Lots of straightforward
information in lay-language.
Select library search, then enter "cushing" in the search
engine.
A very cool web site featuring an interactive diagnosis engine.
Remember: this site and others of its type are intended to be an
addition or accompaniment to-not a substitute for-professionally provided
veterinary care!!
Great site for information on lots of veterinary topics! (The section
on Cushing's is a link from Auburn U. which is pretty technical and
geared to the veterinarian, not the lay-owner).
